We've got laminate flooring nearly all the way through the house but have got rugs in nearly all the rooms to take the chill off the floor. Last week we had a Chinese and like a prat my dad gave my 2 year old sister a spare rib to hold..... of course in a minute she'd got bored of it and put it down in the closest place which was the brown and beige rug in the living room. Vanish Carpet and Upholstery Mousse...... Since moving into our flat a couple of years ago now we have had laminate flooring which is very handy especially as I am rather accident prone and Jack being a toddler is just a messy stain waiting to happen. With three young boys aged 5 and under in our house some kind of carpet cleaner is a must. Up until having children it is something that might have come out of the cupboard once a year for the odd spilt cup of tea but nowadays it makes an appearance at least once a month. Vanish Carpet and Upholstery Mousse is the one we use on our house. Three children and lots of cream carpets are not a good combination. This iis a vital part of the upkeep of our house. With 2 children and a dog trampling all sorts of dirt and food into the carpets and sofa, we use this at least once a week. For any spills or stains or ground in dirt, you remove as much as possible, spray on foam, and work around the stain with a damp cloth. From our experience, I would also say not to wet the stain too much, as then the foam can be hard to get rid of, ie foam spreads more than the stain! Also leave it a while, and some stains take a second application. Vanish has only let us down twice, once for baby vomit, (couldn'yt get rid of the smell) and once for the red sauce from a chinese.
