Advantages: does the job!

Disadvantages: none

As a teacher, I feel I have to look good at work; there's nothing like teaching 150 tough inner city teens every day to make you aware of your appearance. Anyway, I tend to buy 5 new shirts a term (just cheap ones), as this seems the best way of looking smart and new every day. Despite that, I still manage to get stains on my shirts every now and again, especially when I am eating.

There is something about me that seems to struggle to eat without letting my clothes enjoy the experience too, and many items have got pickle, coffee or tea stains on them.

Back in the past I would think this was it - they would have to be thrown away, but now we have the vanish bar.

The Vanish Bar is a pre-wash bar that you rub onto a stain. What it does is it gives your normal washing machine wash an extra kick on the area it's needed, and gets rid of stains.

The look of the bar is pretty much like a bar of soap (just a bit smaller). The bar weighs 75 grams. You wet the stained area, then rub the bar onto it and pop it in the wash.

The bar is very compact and solid, so lasts absolutely ages - a year easily with a few stains a month, so for a couple of quid it's not too much to spend.

So, does it work? YES it does! If you put a white shirt with a coffee stain on it in a normal wash, it stays, but if you rub this on it before, it's gone!

I also use the bar without washing clothes - for example, if I get a bit of coke on my t-shirt, I will run it under the tap and rub a bit of this in and it does the job, so you don't even need to put the item in for a washing machine wash which is a real bonus.

Oddly, the box doesn't tell you the ingredients, but just says it's 30% soap, so it's that other 70% that's got the secret ingredients in it I suppose.

All in all, a must-have stain remover that does exactly what it says on the box!

Summary: do it

This is a school teacher's best friend. I know from experience although I've bought 35p alternatives which do the same job. How much is this product though?
