Advantages: REMOVES STUBBORN STAINS WIHOUT THE NEED TO SCRUB!

Disadvantages: SOMETIMES A SECOND APPLICATION IS NEEDED TO COMPLETELY WORK...

You know how you have regular couldn't-do-without-it domestics products stashed under the sink, in case of emergencies?
Well this trigger sprayed, action packed, enzyme-busting solution is 'a must have' in my household's cleaning products, as it really is super stuff!

It has to be said I am a huge fan of all things 'Vanish', as I think it's an all-round great cleaning product that actually delivers what it professes on all its packaging.

Whether it be the 500ml 'Stain Remover Pre-Wash' spray I am reviewing today, the concentrated power foam moose for use on carpet stains - or even the newer version style of 'Oxi-Action' solution that can be applied to upholstery too...as an OCD type female, why, I love them all!

Easily spotted in most well-stocked retailers, by it's lurid pink taper-topped elongated container - this particular Vanish product has the RRP of around the £2.95 mark; although can be spotted with my most favourite of customer two letter words 'Special Offer', quite often...

I started off using the old-style solid bar item of this stain-busting formulation many moons ago now, when my Gothy teenage daughter was a mere nipper in her pram (*big smile*...she was 'sooo' cute way back when, 'Awww'!).
As all parents of youngsters know, our offspring's are generally mucky young pups - thus my Vanish little block of cleaning miracle soap was an absolute godsend to me!
It went everywhere we did, especially abroad; but with the advent of the spray-action bottle, the deep-cleaning solution was much easier to use...

A quick, direct blast with the lovely-fragranced opaque liquid, and it starts acting upon the messy marks upon one's garments immediately.

It states on the back of the container's label to treat the stain as soon as possible to prevent it from settling permanently - in addition to leaving it 1-2 minutes to absorb into the material completely.
However, I tend to leave the item of clothing a wee while longer than that to give the mixture as much time as possible to act against the unwanted marks, before flinging it into the washing machine for that clever, noisy and big mechanical box to work its wondrous magic!

The manufacturers 'ReckittBenckiser', state that this solvent is: '...specially formulated to remove the stains and grime that detergents alone leave behind. Its powerful formulation penetrates deep into the fibres to break down even the toughest stains like collar and cuff grime and grease'.

Quite a big promise that, but one I know this Pre-Wash solution faithfully keeps.

There is a local rate customer service line in case of any queries, but it's not rocket science, folks.
Pretty much all you need to know is provided on the back of the bottle; the liquid is safe to use on whites and colourful fabrics, although a 'colourfastness' test is advised on an inconspicuous area of the article in question.
I have never had any problems at all with any bleaching from the product itself, although it can take a couple of treatments for the more stubborn of stains such as chocolate, grease or grass to be dissolved.

The information panel advises not to use it on silks and such like, amongst the delicates range of fabrics - but once more, I can honestly say I have had no adverse reactions on any of my more silken items of clothing.

Another no-no is use on 'flame proofed articles'; plus pigments such as ink or rust may not, understandably, be able to be fully removed.

As with any solution containing strong chemicals, it is an irritant to the skin. Nevertheless, even though I can suffer with quite severe dermatitis on my hands, this is a directional spray - therefore I have had no such instances of adverse reactions after use.

In my opinion this is a fantastic household product, and I wouldn't be without it!

It's saved my bacon with many an expensive item of kiddies clothing after my little treasure inadvertently dripped ice-cream raspberry sauce down her dinky Barbie jacket - or got a grass-stained muddy mess from the park all over her little matching jeans!
Mind you, thinking about it, she's not much better now - although it's usually melted Cadbury's from a fondue that ends up down her 'Emo' tops...Ahh kids, they just don't get any better as they grow up, do they!

If you've never tried this Vanish Stain Remover Pre-Wash product, go on give it a go.

It lasts for ages and is literally worth its weight in gold, especially when it manages to salvage your prized clothing possession, as it so often does mine!

TOP TIP
********

Spotted it in Wilkos yesterday for the great offer price of £1.64 - 'Bargain', go grab one!

Summary: GENERALLY REMOVES STAINS IN A FLASH - WITHOUT SPENDING TOO MUCH CASH!
