I must admit to having sucked the occasional fishermans friend, but waiters friends aren't really suitable for sucking, they are more suited to opening wine bottles. Fishermans friends are small and slip into the mouth easily, whereas waiters friends tend to be a bit bigger, more suited to getting a good grip of them with a firmly clenched hand. It just goes to show that one mans friend might well be another mans enemy, or something like that.
