Advantages: lots of attachments

Disadvantages: none

Let me introduce you to my friend He is invited to every barbeque I have, comes with us on picnics, to all my parties. He is first on the guest list at my dinner parties.
My friend often joins us when my husband and I are having a romantic evening together. In fact he was guest of honour at my daughters wedding helping us toast the happy couple.

My friend is quite versatile, he opens a bottle of wine he can open a can of beer he can open a bottle of beer too. The tiny knife blade is useful for cutting the foil seal around the cork or opening those stubborn plastic /foil bags of nuts.
My waiters friend is corkscrew with a bottle opener and a can opener has a tiny knife attachment too.

We recently acquired one when joining the Times wine club, it was a freebie. We have another that we were given as a present years ago.

I have just looked on line and found them available from about £4.00 upwards. They are usually made of steel, some with a softer plastic grip. I have noticed them on sale in wine shops, some supermarkets hardware shops and in john Lewis and other department stores.
There are left handed friends available with a reverse screw.

A waiters friend makes an ideal pressie for an 18th bday, or a wedding it need not be too expensive. A waiters friend should last a lifetime most are well made. Thanks for reading I must now go and use my friend I have a bottle of red wine waiting to be opened. Cheers good health Mary
