I have recently decorated my daughters bedroom from a plain looking nursery into a proper little girls bedroom and I let her choose whatever theme she wanted. Of course being Princess crazy she chose a Disney Princess wallpaper that is extremely pink! As it was such a busy wallpaper I decided to paint the other three walls in a pastel pink colour but when it was finished it looked a little plain in comparison to the papered wall. I had seen various wall art designs on Amazon and I came across a Disney font piece and looking into it they would make any name you chose.
I ordered my daughters name along with some love hearts and within two days they arrived. I had no idea really how it would go on the wall and I presumed it would be quite a tricky job but when I opened the tube and took the wall art out there was an A4 instruction sheet included thankfully!
The wall art comes on a long piece of white paper (just like the kind you have stickers on) and it is covered with a piece of protective paper to ensure no damage can come to the stickers. To put the wall art on the wall you need to remove the white paper backing - very carefully to prevent any ripping - and place on the wall in the desired position. When the art is in place you then need to rub over the stickers quite forcefully to make sure the stickers stick on the wall. I found it best to rub using the flat of my fingernail as this was enough pressure and a hard edge rather than the pad of the finger. When satisfied that the stickers are firmly in place you need to remove the protective paper from the stickers and again this needs to be done slowly and carefully so the stickers aren't pulled off the wall.
I was so impressed with the look of the wall art when it was done, it looked like a professional job and more like it was painted on rather than stickers. The wall art I had chosen was a silver colour and on the wall it really does look fantastic quality. I like how the stickers are very thin so sit extremely flat against the wall so when you move your hand over the design there is almost no bumps to it which reinforces how I think it looks like it is painted rather than stuck on. I dotted the hearts around my daughters name and it gives the room a real focal point now and takes some of the attention away from the busy Princess pattern.
The Disney font wall art cost me £9.00 on Amazon with free delivery and I am happy to say that it was worth every single penny. There are many other wall art stickers available online for all rooms in the house. One of them I saw for the bathroom was the quote "If you sprinkle when you tinkle....." and I think that would look fab above the toilet! The range of childrens bedroom wall arts include many different characters such as Hello Kitty, Fireman Sam, Mario, Princesses and many more. I would now like one for my own bedroom but as yet I am unable to decide on a quote that just suits me. Quite a few people I know seem to be buying the vinyl wall art so I think it must be the "in" thing at the moment.
I would recommend wall art, especially for a child's bedroom as I think they look really good making a nice feature on the wall.
Thank you for reading my review.
