Advantages: good mug
Disadvantages: price
I was visiting a friend the other day and she gave me a mug of tea it was in a Whitworths chatsworth teatime mug
Now Whittards make a very fine mug. This tea time mug is a china mug. A good quality mug not one I would give the builders their tea in .
It is a good size :H10cm, D8.5cm . holds a decent sized mug of tea.
It is easy , comfortable to hold the handle a good shape and position. I do like drinking a cup of tea from a fine mug.
The design on the mug white is white inside and a black background on the outer mug with picture of different shaped mugs with different patterns on them , some of the pictures are of spotty mugs some striped some with flowers.
This mug is dishwasher proof and you can reheat your tea in it in the microwave if you let it go cold.
Whittards make a teapot , cup and saucer and pattered spoons to match , so if you wished you could have a complete teatime tea set.
This teatime mug RRP is £14.00 whew that's pricey, you can buy this mug on line at http://www.whittard.co.uk or at http://www.allaboutyou.com its £8.
In 1886 Walter Whittard founded a commodity and retail trading house for teas from the British colonies. He opened a shop in Chelsea and the firm developed selling teas and accessories and coffee too. Whittards went into administration and was bought by a private equity firm in December 2008
Summary: A good mug with mug picture designs

- 10/08/09 I've received these as gifts and despite their glazed finishes I find they are not as long lasting as Dunoon mugs. |
