“ Brand: Wilkinsons / Subcategory: Bathroom Care / Type: Tissue / Category: Cleaning Products & Utensils > Wipes, Towels, Tissues „
I shop in Wilkinsons for as many diffrent things as I can. Since they have opened up stores in London I have found I have saved an awful lot without forgoing on quality. I love to spend money and enjoy it a lot. The times I hate spending money is on cleaning and household products and I buy the cheapest I can get. toilet rolls is a purchase where I will save as much as possible. After all, your flushing it down the loo! I really can't understand people who buy the premimum brands in toilet rolls. It's such a waste of money. I could understand if it was like that waful paper you used to have to use at school, that feels like shiny card or if it was wafer thin but the cheaper brand have got a lot better of the last few years. I buy these wilkinsons brand toilet rolls all the time. You get a pack of 6 for 69p, which works out at about 11.5p each, which is pretty cheap, although it doesn't come in the packaing shown above in my local store. It is in clear plastic with red and white labels over it. These toilet rolls are pretty decent for the price and last quite well. OK, maybe they don't last quite as long as some of the other and are thinner but their also a lot cheaper!. They are two ply and are pretty soft considering the price. Anyone on a budget should give them a try. I believe in saving where and when you can and this is a great place to start.
My money saving tactics include lowering brands that I use, this includes my loo roll! I have been using Sainsburys basics as well as Wilkinsons own brand, when in fact it is wilkinsons I prefer. It costs me 64p for 6 white loo rolls, the packaging has changed twice already and looking on the website it seems to have changed it's colour theme again. It once was bergundy, the packet I have is white and red and on the website it is a pale blue like the picture above but it does state on the packaging that it is Wilkinsons own. The packet clearly tells us it's Wilko Right Price toilet tissue and it's a 6 pack which is clearly visible through the packet anyway. The back of the packet tells me that each of the rolls average to around 200 sheets of loo paper, I'm afraid I can't confirm this as I havn't sat there and counted. For a 'value' brand of loo rolls these are surprisingly large, alot larger than supermarkets value brands in fact. They are not as narrow as supermarkets value ranges, alot wider in fact and they feel alot softer and bouncier as a roll. Pulling the loo roll apart to be used it seems quite thick and just as strong too. It seems to wipe what it needs to comfortably and seems quite soft on the skin too. It doesn't irritate my skin, and smooths over my skin quite gentle. It's strong and suffice when it needs to be, wiping away what it needs to without ripping and tearing apart. One roll lasts me just the same amount of time as a top brand of loo roll and it does exactly the same job. None of my visitors have complained about the paper nor noticed any difference when it sits on my bathroom floor. It doesn't have that cheap feel or look about like some value brands and I now always purchase this. If you are looking to save a bit of money or like trying new brands out then I'd say this is definitely worth a try.
