“ Brand: Yankee Candle / Type: Room & Linen Spray / Category: Home Fragrance „
I was having a look around my local branch of Collectables the other day as they are sadly closing down. I was hoping to maybe stock up on a few Yankee candles etc as they are selling off all their stock and indeed I purchased a few Yankee wax tarts which were reduced in price. Whilst I was browsing the Yankee stock as most of it appeared to be reduced in price, I spotted this Yankee Aromatherapy Spa odour eliminating room spray reduced in price from £6.65 to just £1.56 and as it was such a big reduction in price I took a closer look.
There were three different fragrances of this room spray on the shelves and after closer inspection, I decided to buy the True Bliss - Sage and White room spray. I must admit I know there is no way I would have bought this room spray had it been the full price of £6.25, as I would never pay that for a room spray, I just couldn't justify the cost. However, I like a bargain as much as anyone and thought £1.56 a great price to pay for a quality Yankee product.
The spray itself is only 43g, so it is quite small but it is a concentrated room spray, which I took to mean that you won't need to spray this a great deal to achieve results. Indeed you are advised to press the button twice only to spray and "fragrance an entire room for hours", which I thought was an extravagant claim as I haven't personally came across a room spray yet that will fragrance a room for hours after spraying. However, given the price tag here, I thought maybe this was an exception.
I looked forward to trying this room spray and sprayed some immediately on getting home and have since used it the last couple of days too.
On first spraying as directed, pressing the button twice, I couldn't initially smell anything and this has happened each time I have used it. It takes a few seconds for the fragrance to appear it seems, then you are suddenly hit with a lovely fragrance which is meant to be sage and white tea of course. I would say it has a musky, woody scent which accounts for the sage perhaps and I am not sure how white tea should smell, so overall will describe this as quite woody, which is great if you are a fan of this type of fragrance as I am. There are also some very subtle floral notes there, but overall I can say that in my opinion this is a really nice scent which does fill the room with just those couple of presses of the spray button.
As for it fragrancing the room for hours with just those two presses of the spray button, I have to say that I haven't found this to be the case at all. Indeed whilst the fragrance does linger for a while and does seem to do the trick eliminating odours, it does not last for hours. I can't see me wanting to use these room sprays instead of burning a Yankee tart for example, as I like the continuous fragrance released from a wax tart and to achieve a continuous fragrance here, you would have to spray every hour at least, as I can't say I could really smell any fragrance after around 45 minutes.
I am pleased I bought this room spray as it is nice to use despite it not lasting for hours and has a gorgeous fragrance, however I wouldn't pay the £6.25 price tag and so I doubt I will be buying it again unless it is reduced to around the price I paid for this one, which I do think is a bargain and worth every penny of the £1.56 I paid.
I would rate the fragrance 5 stars but have to knock a couple off as it doesn't last for hours and isn't worth paying full price for.
Collectables still have a few days to go of their closing down sale at branches which are closing, so if there is one near you I would advise you pop along and grab a bargain.
