Yankee Candle is an American company. They specialise in various scented candles and other delightful fragranced products for your home.
The Christmas Eve scent is available in various formats including wax tarts, samplers, jars and tea lights. This review discusses the sampler which is a votive candle. The candle is a bright red colour and comes individually wrapped with a festive label confirming the scent. The votive is said to contain 15hours of scented oil which releases into the air when burned for a few hours at a time.
Christmas Eve is described as being "a magical sugar plum fragrance, luscious, rich and uplifting".
*Availability and Price*
The 49g votive can be purchased online through sites such as www.yankeedoodle.com and Amazon. It is priced at around £1.60. The jars start from £7.50.
Thanks to the regular Yankee Candle reviews from a few trusted members on here, I have become addicted to these lovely little candles. I bulk buy the votives to sample different scents and determine which ones are my favourites. My last order with www.yankeedoodle.com, resulted in me purchased a rather enticing collection of Festive candles. I managed to purchase this one for 60p and have since gone on to purchase the small jar at £5.00. You can tell I adore this scent can't you?
You will know by now that Christmas and the winter season is my favourite time of year. It may be an expensive time but for me, it signifies family, snow and decorating the tree. I like to keep the Christmas spirit alive in my home especially when its cold and dreary outside. I can do this by lighting these seasonal candles. The Christmas Eve one looks very pretty in my votive holder and offers a gentle, comforting glow from its high flame.
*T'was The Night Before Christmas..*
Before unwrapping this votive, I was immediately attracted to the decadent aroma it offered. Once lit, it took a short time for a puddle of wax to gather and for the scent to lift up from the candle. This is an incredibly inviting aroma which filters around my living room and further into my hallway and kitchen if the doors are left open. The aroma produced is highly concentrated and lingers well in the air.
Although the actual evening of Christmas Eve doesn't smell like anything in particular, the candle signifies everything I love about Christmas Eve. Its enchanting fragrance offers a heavy, addictive sweetness which is laced with subtle fruity notions. It is very sugary sweet which may be too much for some but it's perfect for me. Its heart warming, relaxing and all round Festive aroma. A bit like a delicious Festive drink and mince pie melted down and turned into candle wax!
The reason I love this the Christmas Eve scent is down to the way it makes me feel. I can imagine wrapping the rest of the parcels, chilling with a cookie and nice drink. The tree lights would be flickering in the corner, a Christmas movie on the telly and me constantly peeking through the curtains checking for the first snowflake to fall. Ahh I'm going all gooey inside but that's what Christmas means to me so get over it. Its happening soon!
This votive burns evenly down the middle and I have been burning it for a few hours each day since it arrived. The scent is infused for 15hrs and remains consistent.
*Santa Will Be Here Soon...*
Wow, just wow, this sweet smelling candle will be one of my regular Christmas scents as its so appealing. If I have had my living room door closed and go out then back in, this gorgeous aroma welcomes me and draws me in for a closer sniff where an increased sugary burst awaits me.
I can't fault this scent and I am so looking forward to my jar arriving. This is a keeper!
Thanks for reading :)
