==Christmas Eve Yankee Candle==
Well if you regularly read my reviews you will be aware that I live in Cyprus, that is all good until it gets to Christmas, there just isn't the Christmas mood that you get in the UK. I think this is mainly down to the weather, apart from today (bit drizzly) the weather up to now has been around 25 degrees and it has been brilliant sunshine. Somehow, when driving down the highway the sun blinding my eyes and listening to "snow is falling, all around us.." doesn't have the same effect. I am a big Christmas fan and will be returning to the UK for Christmas to visit friends and family but I am struggling to get in the festive mood. I was in need of a new Yankee candle as my previous one had burnt down so when I was browsing on play.com I decided to give the Christmas Eve large jar a try.
When the jar arrived I was pleasantly surprised that even through the packaging I could smell the lovely fragrance of the candle. This got stronger when I lit the candle and my house was filled with a delightful smell of trees, mulled wine, oranges and cinnamon all from one beautiful red candle. The fragrance is long lasting and definitely fills my home with a beautiful scent. I am definitely more in the Christmas mood now. I have the candle lit for a long period of time and it still is more or less full of wax. I have read in previous reviews that the candle is hard to light and that the fragrance does not last. I think the product may have been changed for the better as I have definitely not witnessed these problems.
I am a big fan of Yankee candles, this specific product cost £14.99 with free delivery from play.com, this may sound expensive for a candle, however, I can confirm that it is money well spent especially if you are a frequent candle user as I find that I can buy high-street/supermarket candles for a fraction of the price but they do not give the same strength of scent and neither do they last as long as these candles. Therefore, you may have to purchase 10 candles at £2.00 each to last as long as a Yankee large jar for £14.99. This highlighting that even though the initial price looks more expensive it actually works out cheaper.
I would recommend this scent to anyone wanting to get in the Christmassy mood. For all you scrooges I'm afraid this isn't a product for you!
Summary: A must have for every home this Christmas
