Advantages: Looks nice

Disadvantages: Cannot fill a room with fragrence

I discovered the delights of Yankee Candles about a year ago and have bought many of their products since. It has actually become a bit of an addiction, they just smell divine!

For those of you who do not know anything about Yankee Candles and want to save their money keep it that way because their products do not come cheap! For those who want to know Yankee Candle is an American company who specialize in candles and air fresheners in unusual scents. I am yet to find one I haven't loved, until now.

This is the second reed diffuser I have purchased and I loved the first one, it gave out a constant, delightful scent for months so I had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately it did not live up to expectations.

The reed diffuser looks lovely and would fit the decor of most bedrooms well. The bottle is clear so you can see how much of the scent is left and the reeds spread nicely to give the diffuser a balanced look.

The scent is the disappointing factor, although it smells lovely, actually smelling clean and crisp it is just not powerful enough. You have to stand over the diffuser and sniff to get any real scent from it which rather negates the point of the product. On occasion if you have had all your windows closed and walk in from outside you may notice the smell but you really need to be concentrating on it.

Because of the oil in the bottle if the reeds touch any paint work they will strip it, I have several small burn marks on my wall where the reeds have been knocked into the paintwork. The oil will last for a year or more, mine is still going ten months on with a third of the bottle left.

Summary: Opt for the candles
