      A great tart

      ==Yankee Tarts Country Linen==

      Since having Jack nearly 4 years ago I have burnt candles and used them a lot less, in fact almost not at all. Its since reading so many lovely reviews on the Yankee Candles or Wax Tarts that I started to think about giving them a try as they sounded pretty good. It was only then that I mentioned to my mum about getting a Yankee Tart that she said she'd been using them for ages and had a whole draw stocked up! Thankfully I was able to pinch one of her tarts to try to see if I like the general idea of using it before paying out any money.

      ==Price and Availability==

      These Yankee candles and tarts seem to be in so many different places and I seem to see them even in places you wouldn't expect such as a boutique children's shop in town who had a stand of them. They can however be found in places such as B&Q or the like and these places do have a wide variety to choose from.

      The one that I have of course I got from Mums draw but she got it from a garden centre called Busy Bee she used to work at. The price sticker was on the front at 99p and I think this is about right for these wax tarts although you might expect to go up to around £1.05p in some places. Having not really seen this sort of tar like scented candle around I can't say if this is a price that is outdoing its competitors but that said I don't think you can really go wrong with paying £1 out.

      ==General Use==

      To use these Yankee wax tarts you have to unwrap them out of their simple plastic wrapping and place them into an oil burner than have the desired depth of bowl for them to melt without spilling out. My oil burner had only a very slight well and for this reason I cut the tart into three parts to be able to use one part at a time and know that once melted it would not overflow the bowl.

      Once taken out of its plastic wrapping the lovely smell was already apparent and I then found it very easy to slice up the bar into smaller sections. It did crumble slightly but then this made no difference as the whole pieces and the crumbled parts all melt together in the bowl. It didn't take long for the tart to melt and once melted this is when the aroma of the thing filled the room and not just the one I was in but nearly every room of the house. I was so surprised at how much it was able to spread its wonderful aroma and how strong the fragrance was.

      The Country Linen smell seemed to be such a apt name for the fragrance that this has and more or less describes it perfectly. The smell was fresh and clean and didn't seem to be falsely perfumed in the slightest but felt more like a naturally clean and aromatic fragrance that I really don't know how they have captured in and made it into a scented candle.

      I like the way the tart itself was relatively fast to melt and then pretty quick at hardening up when you blew out the candle from under the dish. It is a lovely mess free way to have these scented items working and they are far better than using oils which can be a messy business. I was really quite surprised at actually how long it took to use up the whole of the tart. Of course cutting it up into three sections made it go a bit further but the evaporating time of the wax seemed really good.

      ==Overall Opinion==

      I have to be honest and as as my very first try of these Yankee candle products that I absolutely loved it and can see the appeal. I like the tart idea as its not something I have used before as I used to just stick to burning a scented candle wick but this idea seem to give off a better purer smell. The fragrance was strong being enough to seep into every room and it did last well too.

      For £1 (Or free in my case - thanks mum) I don't think you can really go wrong. I think I would go out today and get a ton of these to try if I wasn't trying to save every penny but I shall certainly be buying them again and trying out all the different fragrances that the Yankee Candles have to offer.

      I can't see any downsides to using this tart. They are great to use and the smell of this one was so inoffensive and just like someone had come in and cleaned your house from top to bottom as it just had the natural clean and fresh smell that surely everyone would like. For these reason I can only award top marks for this Yankee Tart Country Linen so it gets a 5 out of 5 stars and a very high recommendation.

      I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you

      Many thanks for taking the time to read.
