Advantages: Delivers a powerful aroma
Disadvantages: None for me
I adore burning fragranced candles as in addition to the gorgeous aroma I find them extremely comforting and relaxing. I am a huge fan of rich spicy scents, which I enjoy using during the cold winter evenings and will opt for something a little more delicate in the warmer months such as floral or lavender. Whilst shopping in Cardiff after Christmas I was delighted to be able to purchase a number of festive fragrances from Clintons where they were discounted by 50% and this review discusses Yankee Candle Cranberry Chutney in the tart format.
Yankee Candle tarts easily break into two pieces where I keep one portion for my next use, which subsequently enables me to obtain twice as much burning time from each purchase. Within just a few minutes of placing the wax into an oil burner above a burning tea light the wax releases the most stunning combination of fragrances. The fresh and fruitiness of the cranberries is the initial scent that I am able to witness followed by an uplifting and zesty orange together with a hint of spice offering a slight sweetness. As I was unable to identify the additional fragrances contained within the wax I carried out a little research and discovered them to be rosemary together with raisins and a touch of golden honey.
The fragrance considerably intensifies when burning and I adore the relaxing warming and ambient aroma that it delivers. I am not a huge fan of the aroma of honey, as it can often be quite sickly. However, Yankee Candle has created the perfect balance as the wax delivers a delicate hint of sweetness without being cloying. I like the fact that the fragrance is powerful enough to travel into other rooms within my home. Although Yankee class Cranberry Chutney as part of the Christmas collection I feel it is well suited for burning during any time of the year. Once the tea light has been distinguished the delightful fresh and fruity aroma remains in my home for several hours. The 20g tart offers eight hours of burning time and as I only use half of the wax on each occasion I am able to obtain twice as much use.
This is an absolutely stunning candle and receives 5 stars from me together with a full recommendation. Most Yankee Candle stockists are clearing out their Christmas stock, so you should be able to pick up all formats at half price where I paid just 59p for the tart.
I hope you found my review useful and thanks for reading.
