Advantages: Candle lasts 50 hours. Looks nice. Lovely residual fragrance.

Disadvantages: Quite expensive. Overpowering fragrance while burning.

I have recently been burning the Yankee Candle Garden Sweet Pea which is something I bought after sniffing it in House of Fraser and thinking it smelled really nice. I bought the small sized jar which cost me £8.39 which I thought was kind of expensive but I have bought Yankee Candles before and I know that they tend to last for much longer than other candles I have tried.

The Yankee Candle Garden Sweet Pea that I have comes in a nice glass jar that is transparent and which it's possible to see the lovely blue colour of the candle wax through the glass. The fragrance name is stuck on the front of the jar, although I've peeled this off because I think it looks nicer without it. Once lit, the candle burnt for about 50 hours - which is pretty amazing quality for such a small candle - and as I've said before, this is why I really rate the Yankee Candle range.

The scent was very floral and sweet, and while it was in the wax for without being lit I thought it smelled quite subtle but also very distinctive. However, once the candle had been lit and had been burning for a little while I found the fragrance a little overpowering and sickly and I only liked it to be burning for about an hour at a time. It is a strong fragrance that lingers for hours after the candle has been blown out and once the candle has been blown out I think the residual fragrance is just a lot nicer than when it's actually burning.

Overall, I like this fragrance, but I suggest lighting it for an hour or so when you are not in the room and then enjoying the residual fragrance.

Summary: A nice candle if you like strong fragrances.
