      gorgeous!

Yankee Candle originated in the USA. The company offers a wide range of scented products for the home.

      ~Golden Spiced Pear~

Golden Spiced Pear is a USA exclusive scent. Within the UK, it can be sourced in various sized jars, votives and wax tarts. A wax tart is disc of scented wax which should be melted in a tart burner. It can be re-used and each tart is said to offer at least 8 hours of scent.

Golden Spiced Pear is presented in a clear wrapper with a label showing some delicious pears. Yankee describe this scent as...

'The tantalizing touch of nutmeg adds a glow of warmth to the scrumptious scent of autumn pears'

Golden Spiced Pear in tart format (22g) can be purchased from www.yankeescents4.com priced at £1.75. www.yankeedoodle.co.uk stock the sampler votive and the jars.

      ~My Thoughts~

Golden Spiced Pear is a tart I purchased during an eBay splurge. I have had fun trying out all the rarer scents and deciding which ones I want to splash out on in jar format in the near future. I chose this particular scent as I adore the smell of pears and this one sounded absolutely delicious.

Pears can be blended with many other scents to create very different combinations and different scents suitable for various times of the year and occasions. Golden Spiced Pear is a scent which I consider perfect for colder evenings due to the spice addition. The tart itself is a golden colour and melts into a glossy pool of golden wax - it looks very pretty and in solid form it smells gorgeous.

As this tart begins to melt, it takes around 30 minutes for the scent to spill out from my tart burner. Once it is at its peak, the scent travels around my large living room and out into the rest of our flat. It has a very smooth scent that travels well and envelopes every room in a gorgeous scent. Golden Spiced Pear is a full bodied, aromatic scent - full of flavour and perfect for a cosy night in. The scent has a 'glow' about it which really lights up any room in scent and appearance.

Golden Spiced Pear creates a warming atmosphere and has all the right scents in generous measures. The background of the scent is a heavenly, juicy pear aroma - very fresh, inviting and with a gorgeous sweet edge. What makes this scent different from the likes of Orchard Pear, is the spicy notes. The sweet pear scent is taken too new heights with a stunning nutmeg aroma - very rich and indulgent and its rounds off the scent. It adds extra depth and completely changes the scent.

      ~Conclusion~

The sweet, fruity pear blended with the spicy nutmeg makes for a delicious scent. The overall scent has a foody feel and the scent is strong enough to eliminate homely aromas. Golden Spiced Pear doesn't let up on strength and I burned my tart across a few days and gained around 11-12 hours of gorgeous scent before the scent started to fade from the tart. Not too bad at all.

I love Golden Spiced Pear. I like this one for the Autumn/Winter evenings whereas the Orchard Pear is more suited to warmer days. There really is a Yankee scent for every time of the day and year! Well worth a try!

      Thanks for reading :)
