Gorgeous fragrances, cute looking candles (Yankee Candle in General)

I'd heard friends talking about Yankee candles and wondered what all the fuss is about, so last year I treated myself to a few online and I must say I have been very impressed.

The candles themselves look great- in particular the iconic jar candles are very pretty and because they are in a glass jar, you don't have to worry about having a candle holder for them. They also have a very cute lid which has Yankee Candle embossed in the glass. Keeping the lid on the jar when the candle is not lit helps to maintain the gorgeous fragrance of the candle.

To be honest, pretty as they are, it is the fragrances which have impressed me so much. I've found with a lot of other candles the fragrance is soon lost. This is not the case with Yankee candles. The fragrance lasts as long as the candle, and is as strong at the last burn as at the first. There is a huge range of candles, and I guess ultimately it is down to personal taste which one you like best. My personal favourites are Island Spa, Clean Cotton, Baby Powder and the limited edition Chocolate Mint. I like the fragrances quite fresh, and would thoroughly recommend that anyone try any of my favourites!

Yankee candles are not cheap. The samplers (small candles not in a glass jar) are around £1.60-£2 each so are a fab way of finiding your favourite fragrance without spending a fortune. The small jars (3.7oz) are £7-8 each and burn for around 30 hours, the medium jars (14.5oz) are around £14-15 each and burn for around 70 hours and the large jars (22oz) are around £17-18 and burn for about 120 hours.

Overall I think Yankee candles are a lovely indulgent addition to any home. They scent the whole room as the burn, and the fragrances are lovely and long lasting. They are not cheap, but there are some good deals to be had, especially online so it's worth keeping an eye out for special offers.
