I like to burn candles around the house and do so because I enjoy their scent as well as to reduce any bad odours. My favourite candle brand is unrivalled and is Yankee because they make so many different unique varieties inspired by authentic aromas from around the world. They also provide candles suitable for different areas of the home. On a recent trip to my local garden centre I picked up a couple of these Midnight Jasmine candles. They were reduced as they did not seem to be a popular choice but having now experienced them I can't think why anyone would bypass this one! I always buy Yankee candles in their small Votive or Sampler size. You can get them ... Read the complete review

I've been working my way through some new fragrances I picked up from the Yankee Candle shop at the end of last year. The wax tarts are a cheap way of trying out different fragrances, costing around £1.25 for a 22g tart. This one was a bit of a gamble because I couldn't really detect the smell through the wrapper particularly well, and this doesn't usually bode well for the fragrance being strong or long lasting once the tart has melted. The tart came in the usual plastic wrapping, which requires a knife to slice open. I tend to break them into either two or three pieces to burn, as this is adequate to release the scent but doesn't take as long to melt. ... Read the complete review

All of these Yankee reviews really aren't helping my bank balance. The other day I decided I must buy the Fluffy Towels fragrance from an ebay seller so in order to save on postage costs (it would be rude not to) I found myself ending up with 4 different fragrances to try despite having about 7 part burned tarts and 3 or 4 still in their wrappers...One that I decided I must try was the Midnight Jasmine scent. The wax tarts from Yankee are designed to be burned in a tart burner therefore meaning they have no wick. The wax tarts retail between £1 and £1.20 usually and you can pick up a burner for a bargain £5. However if you don't think the tarts are your thing ... Read the complete review

When it comes to wax tarts from Yankee I have to admit I'm a wee bit obsessed withe them to be honest. At £1.25 a tart usually they are a nice little affordable treat for me and my home and there are just so many scents to choose from which means I never get bored of them. This is one that at the time of writing this review I am actually burning whilst watching the Brit Classical Music Awards and its a very nice accompaniment really! The Packaging: This comes in a see through plastic wrapper and on the top of it we are told what it is and who it is by and there is a picture shown of flowers on the fron tof it then on the back/bottom of ... As a recent convert to Yankee Candles I was pleased to pick up a Midnight Jasmine tart at my local craft shop for 55p, as they were on sale. I looked on the Yankee Candle UK website and the tart was retailing at £1.25 (May 2012). The tart is white, weighs 22g, and comes packaged in a very well sealed plastic wrapper, that is a little difficult to open, I found that some of the tart crumbled off whilst I was opening it. On the top of the tart was a sticky paper label and a great picture of delicate white jasmine flowers set against a dark blue background. The tart does not have a wick and is made from natural extracts and is supposed to burn up to ... Read the complete review
