When the days and nights turn colder my thoughts start to turn to Christmas, my favourite time of year and nothing is more exciting to me than all the preparations, the cooking, the present buying and the decorating. I have a number of Christmas candles and one of them is this gorgeously amazing smelling Mistletoe and Fig. 

I purchased a number of sampler candles in this fragrance as I have a lot of Christmas candle holders and these fit in there perfectly. I keep them in our Christmas box with the lid on and so the smell is still amazing when you open the lid. I only use them for a few weeks each year and I don't light them either as I like to keep them from year to year.  The candles are a plain pure white colour but on the front there is a nice wintery Christmas scene with a picture of some mistletoe on. 

So, now onto the fragrance as I love the smell of these candles and I think its one that will definitely make you think of Christmas and bring you into the spirit of the season. Having smelt real Mistletoe to see if it was the same I have to say that I don't think real mistletoe really has a smell, it's just like smelling an Ivy leaf in my opinion, no real smell just that of a leaf if you know what I mean. I don't like figs to eat, my nan used to love them and made me try them but they always seemed too sticky to me so I cannot really comment on the real smell of figs either. However, the smell of these candles are very strong with a very sweet, woody earthy fragrance. It has more of a sweet smell than a spice smell like a lot of Christmas smells do and I like that about these. Yankee Candle describe the fragrance ad having woody scents of mistletoe, berries, pine boughs, figs and holly which help to create this holiday tradition.

All in all a lovely smelling candle for a lovely holiday.
