Yankee Candle Simply Home Pineapple Palm
Advantages: gorgeous smell, fresh and clean, quality, lasting power
Pineapple Palm is part of the Simply Home range offered by Yankee Candle. Within the UK, it can be bought in a glass jar format or wax tart format. I will be discussing the wax tart.
A wax tart is a disc of solid wax which has been infused with natural extracts. It should be melted in a tart burner and can be reused until the scent is gone. This wax tart is green in colour and is tightly packaged within a clear wrapper. The wrapper is beautifully adorned with fruit illustrations and looks very Summery. Each 22g wax tart is said to offer at least 8 hours of scent. I cannot seem to locate the official Yankee description of this scent online.
~Price and Availability~
The wax tart can be purchased from eBay UK priced at £4.00 for 6 tarts. The large jar is also available for £12.50.
My local Semi Chem has started stocking some of the Simply Home scents. There are actually quite a few outlets near me who now stock them which is excellent as they are difficult to source otherwise. Knowing my love of Yankee Candles, my sister picked me up a few from Semi Chem and put them in my new handbag as an extra birthday treat. I believe they are around 99p a tart from Semi Chem which is an excellent price and I would recommend stocking up!
I was pleased to receive this wax tart as I love melting them as a way of keeping my home smelling beautiful. Before I had unwrapped this wax tart, I was able to witness a strong, fruity aroma which actually kept my new handbag smelling really nice indeed. I knew I was in for a treat as I unwrapped it and popped the full tart in my tart burner in the livingroom. Within 20 minutes of lighting the tealight underneath my burner, the tart had melted to form a pool of transparent, green tinted liquid.
Pineapple Palm is a quite a strong scent and very authentic smelling. It isn't too heady or overpowering though. The scent flows beautifully from the tart burner bowl and quickly filters around my livingroom, kitchen and out into my hallway. Our home is all on one level and I find this tart to provide enough refreshing scent to fill most of our home and leave it refreshed and free from odour.
Scent wise, Pineapple Palm is very addictive. It is a rich, tropical scent which makes me think of being on holiday and sipping a cocktail on the beach. It is a real mood lifter in my opinion as it is bright, fresh aroma and one that is a treat to have lingering in my home. The main scent is a gorgeous tone of sweet, fresh pineapple which is juicy, sweet and has a slight tang to it. It is balanced out by a creamy sweetness which enhances the cocktail feel - a creamy, fruity cocktail. Mouthwatering, air cleansing and absolutely delicious. It is a little similar to some of the more readily available scents including Bahama Breeze but there is enough of a difference between the scents to make Pineapple Palm worth sourcing.
I am very taken with Pineapple Palm. It is the perfect scent to have melting whilst doing household chores as it enhances the clean feel of my home and leaves it smelling beautifully exotic and fragrant. I cannot fault it as it has a wonderful strength, lingers gracefully and smells very natural. It is cheery and welcoming scent in my opinion. I have been melting it during colder days as I love the way it makes my home feel all Summery and warm but it would be perfect for the warmer days. Pineapple Palm hangs in the air after the tealight has gone out. I have experienced around 9 hours of scent from my tart so far and it is still giving off quite a strong level of fragrance. It is of a high quality and lasts well.
Highly recommended - thanks for reading :)
