Advantages: strong scent fills room quickly, tarts are cheap to buy

Disadvantages: very very strong, so only for cinnamon lovers I think!

Yes that's right, yet another Yankee Candle review from me! Having been off work this last week I've been burning them almost constantly so I'm getting through quite a few of the tarts and votives!

Cinnamon Stick is one I got in a 'mega pack' from website Yankeedoodle.co.uk earlier in the year. With cinnamon being quite a festive fragrance I waited until now to use it. I must admit that this one wasn't really top of my list, mainly because I felt it was very strong in the wrapper, and I worried it would be too overpowering. Having used another cinnamon fragrance recently -cinnamon and sugar - and found it to be quite pleasant, I decided to give this a try.

I bought this in a wax tart form. A wax tart is a fluted disc of fragranced wax. To use it you need to place in a tart burner which can be bought from Yankee Candle. You put a tealight in the base of the burner and the flame melts the tart releasing the scent into the room.

The tart is a deep orange in colour and the wrapping features a picture of (shock, horror!) cinnamon sticks. When I unwrapped this, the scent was incredibly strong, as I had suspected/feared! The smell is simply cinnamon - there's nothing else that I can smell here - just very intense cinnamon!

It doesn't take a very long time for the smell of this tart to start filling the room. Within around five minutes I could smell this in the room, however within around ten to fifteen minutes it was extremely strong and as well as the spiciness that you would expect from cinnamon I also thought there was quite a sharpness to the scent.

The first time I burned this, I burned it for around 40 minutes and then felt I had to blow the candle out as it was really intense and was becoming a little bit too sickly for my liking. This might have just been the way I was feeling at the time, as the second time I burned it for nearly four hours and although it was strong, I didn't at any point feel that it was sickly that time.

Even after the tea light has been blown out, the scent of the tart stays in the room for several hours. This really is only one for fans of cinnamon because it's possibly one of the strongest and most intense Yankee fragrances I've tried.

These wax tarts give approximately 8 hours of fragrance and you should expect to pay between 99p and £1.10 each for them. I buy mine from www.yankeedoodle.co.uk or Collectables on the high street. I think if you're looking for value for money this is definitely a good fragrance to get as even when burning for just a short time the scent lingers for ages, so you can get lots of uses from one tart.

Overall I think this is a nice Yankee fragrance for this time of year, but as I keep repeating it is very strong. I think I preferred the slightly gentler cinnamon and sugar variety to this one, but still, I'd recommend it.

Summary: Another nice festive scent from Yankee
