I recently visited my local outlet stores and discovered we have a Yankee candle shop there! I had a good sniff of all the candles and settled on this scent as my first Yankee purchase! I got the smaller version then pictured here, it only cost me £1.60 as it had 30% off so I was very happy with it!

The candle is a pale yellow/white colour, which makes sense as it is vanilla cupcake! The scent is very sweet and very powerful, it is definitely true to the actual smell of fresh vanilla cupcakes! One thing I would say is that this scent is so strong it actually woke me up in the middle of the night (it wasn't lit!), so I wouldn't recommend this for a bedroom candle!

So far I have burned about one quarter of the candle and this has probably taken about four hours, so overall I would estimate it's lifespan to be around sixteen hours. They are definitely slow burners which is great because then you don't have to purchase them too often! The smell lingers a lot as well so it really does fragrance the room.

Overall I give this candle 5/5 because it performs very well, just don't keep it in your bedroom!
