Advantages: Strong smelling, long-lasting fragrance.

Disadvantages: None

Yankee Candle's Bahama Breeze wax tart was another one of my bargain buys recently when browsing in my local branch of Clintons, who since Christmas have often had a number of Yankee candles reduced in price.

Priced at just 59p per tart instead of the usual £1.20 I snapped up a few different wax tarts, but was particularly pleased to buy Bahama Breeze, as it is one I have read good things about and also on holding it up to my nose in store, the fragrance was very appealing indeed. A mixture of fruity and floral scents is what I first thought and it appeared to be an ideal summer scent, with its blue wax conjuring up images of the sea along with the picture of cocktails on the label.
Yankee actually state Bahama Breeze offers cool summer refreshment in its tropical blend of pineapple, grapefruit and mango, but there is no mention of the slight floral notes I also thought I could detect.

After placing the wax tart in the well of my burner and lighting a tealight underneath, it was only a couple of minutes before I began to detect the scent appearing as the wax melted. I noticed immediately a strong fragance of both pineapple and mango and as the fragrance developed I still thought I could smell some floral notes, but whatever you think you can smell from this fragrance there is no denying it is a lovely scent and is also one of the strongest Yankee fragrances I have experienced to date.
I should also mention this scent's longevity after extinguishing the tealight, as it was quite impressive just how long the scent hung in the air for quite some time afterwards.

I also achieved the 'up to 8 hours' of fragrance you can expect to achieve from burning a wax tart and I did think this one would possibly last longer, but found the fragrance rapidly disappeared after the 8 hours. I can't complain about this at all however, as I got exactly what you can expect from burning a wax tart. Sometimes you find you can get over 8 hours of fragrance with the stronger smelling tarts, which is a bonus when it happens, but as I have also experienced one or two fragrances which have fell way short of 8 hours, or not produced a lot of fragrance at all, then Bahama Beeze is definitely one of the better ones and one I shall be buying again.

The fragrance from Bahama Breeze filled the downstairs of my home and wafted out into the hallway to the foot of the stairs. I would describe the fragrance as 'tropical' overall and although the weather outside has been anything but, you can still fill the inside of your home with the scents of hot summer days when burning the Bahama Breeze fragrance.

Yankee suggest you try mixing the products to create your own fragrance and this is something I keep meaning to do at some point, but as this fragrance is so strong, Bahama Breeze isn't one I would really think to mix with another as I like it the way it is.
It is also suggested that you can leave a wax tart in its wrapping and use it as a drawer scenter and this is what I do with my wax tarts before I come to use them. My daughter also does this too as they leave your clothes, underwear etc smelling really fragrant and so I do recommend you do this with your wax tarts prior to using them to maximise their use.

Bahama Breeze is definitely one to recommend and I shall be buying this again. The wax tarts are available from all Yankee stockists online and in department stores such as Debenhams and John Lewis, as well as card and gift shops such as Clintons and Collectables. There are often bargains to be found on Amazon and Ebay also. The average price of a wax tart is arond £1.20 but watch out for the bargains and sales which regularly appear in stores and online.

Summary: Another quality fragranced wax from Yankee.
