New order
~~~~~~~
I have been using Yankee wax tarts for a while now, and have recently put in a new order from my favourite ebay seller. But I still have a few left from my old batch so decided to try and finish them off so I can get started on the new ones! Bahama Breeze seems pretty inappropriate for this time of year as the weather gets ever gloomier, but as the candle promises to "bring the beach directly to you", I thought it was well worth giving it a try.
About Yankee candles
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yankee is an American company that was founded in 1969. The company produces a huge range of scented candles in various formats. The ones I like are the wax tarts - they are cheap and cheerful and so easy to use. All you need to do is unwrap the tart and place it into a tart burner, light a tealight underneath, and wait for the scent to be released. They cost around the £1 mark, but prices do vary so shop around online!

All wax tarts come shrink wrapped and this one is a lovely pale blue colour. According to Yankee, it is "created from pure natural extracts" and contains "a mouth-watering tropical blend of juicy pineapple, crisp grapefruit and zesty mango".

Fruity fragrance
~~~~~~~~~~
I loved the smell of this as soon as I took off the wrapper. It smells really fresh and fruity, and I couldn't wait to light it! I was quite impatient for this to get going as I really wanted to see if the fragrance of the tart when melted would live up to the fragrance when I had unwrapped it.
I think this did take a little longer to get going than other tarts I have used, but when it did I was really pleased. It smells really light and fresh, and although I can't say I detect any particular fruits, it definitely has a tropical edge to it! The fragrance filled my room quickly and is strong, yet still pleasant. It is definitely a summery fragrance, so not ideal for this time of year - but then anything to lighten up these darker days has to be a good thing.
My new fave
~~~~~~~~
It seems that just about every time I light a Yankee tart I decide that this one is my favourite, and this is no exception! I love the smell of this. It is fruity yet light and fresh, and although it hasn't quite transported me to the Bahamas, it really does have a lovely summer feel to it.

If your mood needs lifting then I would really recommend this tart.
