Advantages: Economical, a fragrance for everyone, simple to use

Disadvantages: No childproof cap, blink and you might not see it

If you haven't heard of Zoflora before you'd probably never spot it nestling amongst all the fancy new products lining the supermarket shelves.
The little cardboard box doesn't scream "look at me, buy me" it just sits there quietly waiting for the people who consider it to be an essential in their cleaning cupboard to come and take a bottle home.
The packaging is quite plain looking, the scent I have "Bouquet" is green coloured, the front has a picture of some flowers and the fragrance on the lower half of the box, it tells you the size of the bottle, explains it's triple action properties (neutralises odour, kills bacteria & lasting fragrance) on the top half is the Zoflora brand name and Concentrated Antibacterial Disinfectant).
On the back of the box are the instructions for use, and some cautions about the product. There are also two hazard warnings: Highly Flammable & Harmful.

The bottle reminds me of a plain old fashioned perfume bottle, and is 56ml in size. The label also has some instructions on it but these can be difficult to read as they are on the reverse side so you have to read them through the coloured liquid of the disinfectant. The lid to the bottle is not child proof, which is something I think could be changed. But since the product has been made since 1922 and the design probably hasn't changed a lot in this time that may be the reason why it doesn't have one?

Zoflora should be diluted in 1 in 40 with water and one capful makes around 140ml, one 56ml bottle makes 2.2 litres of full strength disinfectant.

Zoflora should not be mixed with any other product, so I use a Stardrops mix to clean my kitchen worktops and when this has dried I spray on my Zoflora mix and wipe over to disinfectant them.
Another use I have for it is to make up a solution and leave it in a bowl by my kitchen sink, I can then leave my sponge and dishcloths in it when I'm not using them. This also means that there is a pleasant smell in the kitchen.

You can use it undiluted in ceramic and metal sinks, drains and toilets. If I'm not using bleach in the toilet I'll add a small capful to the toilet bowl when I've finished cleaning the bathroom to fragrance the room.

If you use Zoflora correctly and dilute according to instructions it is safe to use where pets are kept, which is a brilliant way to de-odourise pet smells. Surfaces must be dry before pets should be allowed back to where you have used Zoflora to prevent them licking and ingesting it.

The first time I used Zoflora I didn't dilute quite enough and found the perfume gave me a bit of a headache as it was really strong.

I really like how easy it is to use, and that for such a small bottle it has a lot of uses, and of course the smell. A little really does help leave the house smelling lovely.

If you don't like the normal fragrances of regular disinfectants I would definitely recommend trying Zoflora.

I would suggest wearing rubber gloves especially when pouring into the cap to measure as not only is it an irritant to the skin if you splash some on your fingers, the smell stays on you for ages which can be too much.

I found that it can be difficult to pout into the cap as it dribbles down the bottle a little if you don't have the bottle at the right angle.

I paid 79p for a 56ml bottle in Wilkinson. You can get a 120ml bottle for £1.13 in Tesco.

Zoflora is available in thirteen fragrances Cool & Fresh, Citrus Fresh, Rain Fresh, Bouquet, Lavender, Springtime, Hyacinth, Flowershop, Lilac, Rose, Sweetpea, Wallflower Lily Fresh.

There are also other profucts available which include Antibacterial Spray and Antibacterial Bin Freshening Gel.
