Allied Telesyn AT MR840TF ... unmanaged hub which seamlessly connects 10Base-T workstations to a fiber-optic backbone.

The AT-MR840TF can connect as many as eight IEEE 802.3 10Base-T network segments through one unit. Each hub has one uplink (cascading) twisted pair port equipped with a Media Dependent Interface (MDI/MDI-X) crossover switch. As many as four hubs can be cascaded together to form an independent work-group containing as many as 26 nodes. The AT-MR840TF also features one additional port for attachment to the LAN backbone. This uplink is configured with a 10Base-FL fiber port and utilizes the popular "ST" or "SC" fiber connector. This fiber port makes the AT-MR840TF unique by offering the cost-effective advantages of a small unmanaged hub and the high-end capabilities of fiber optic connectivity.
