I was running out of USB ports, so what is a man to do? well the answer is buy a Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 7 Port Hub is the answer.
I bought 3 of these, 1 for each othr the main comptuers in the hosue, as I was fed up of plugging into computers from behind and the laptop was running out.
For my Laptop I have 4 USB, 1 I use with the mouse, and the other I use to connect to the hub. I need a number of devices plugged into the laptop but only when its in the desk (so a bit of a docking station really) I have plugged ina funky R2D2 hub that makes noises, which is a giggle, speakers, my laptop cooler, AOpen X-Recorder (Video converter) and a oil burner. This is the 5 in the back used, However I also use 1 or 2 USB devices throughout the day. 1 especially every day to take my school files with me and then after work put back on to the network.
This Hub allows me to easily and safely plug in my memory sticks or other needed items without any risk of dangly things.
The other I have plugged into my dekstop along with the Belkin TuneSync(read that review) This is used to connect my MyBook 500GB (see review). It is also used to charge my Nokia N70 (check out that review tooo)
Best of all this hub is powered so that it can run any USB device.
This device is a top of the range bit of kit to allow 7 devices to quickly plug into a computer, whether permanently or for quick access.
