D-Link DFE-908DX ... provides 8 ports, all of which support auto-sensing dual 10/100Mbps speeds. The hub is designed to auto-negotiate the speed with the connected nodes, and to create independent 10Mbps and 100Mbps segments. The stackable architecture allows users to gradually add ports as their network expands. Users can start with a single hub, then add up to 4 more hubs to reach 40 ports per stack, without incrementing the repeater counts. An MDI interface allows easy cascading of 2 hub stacks to bring the port density up to 78. The hub comes with a built-in 10/100Mbps switch function. This provides transparent connection between 10Mbps and 100Mbps segments, allowing users to integrate Ethernet and Fast Ethernet stations on the same network. In addition, the hub provides a high level of flexibility. With Ethernet/Fast Ethernet support, users can deploy 100Mbps when and where needed, and still run 10Mbps on some desktops on the network. The hub protects users' investment by extending their lifespan through transition from 10Mbps to 100Mbps.
