IBM Token Ring MAU ... Connectors, cables from the attaching device are simply plugged into the unit. The Token-Ring Hub will detect the presence of a signal for each of the eight connections and will configure the ring. In addition, a Token-Ring Hub can be put in a wiring closet, on a desktop, on a wall, or in a standard 19-inch wiring closet and can be interconnected to other access units in order to form larger networks.
