Micronet SP243B ... central network.

The family of 10BASE-T hubs provides 8, 16, and 24 10BASE-T ports, allowing for a stand-alone or hub-to-hub network configuration to link up to 8, 16 or 24 workstations to form a simple LAN. Each model can also be connected to each other (or to other hubs) through daisy chaining using UTP cable to expand the network. In addition, there are 10BASE-2 (BNC) and 10BASE-5 (AUI) expansion ports available for connecting up to 256 stations on the network.

Each model provides the uplink port, which permits hub-to-hub connection through the normal straight-through UTP cable, easy for uplink to each other. Linking to the main network can be achieved by attaching the hubs to the network backbone through a built-in BNC or AUI port.

Each model features a front-panel LED array display to report hub and network status at a glance. The display also provides information about individual port connectivity, link, and receive status.

Simply a plug-in of the RJ45 connector, the network starts to play immediately. The hubs allow desktop installation or 19" standard rack-mounting. The SP243 model is pocket-size and can be placed in tight desktop space and easily moved around when needed.
