The BayStack 251 hub has 12 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX Ethernet ports with RJ-45 connectors. When the BayStack 251 hub is in a managed hub stack, it is referred to as "unmanaged" because it is managed through a connection to the BayStack 250 and 253 hubs. The BayStack 251 hub can also function as an unmanaged hub in a network. A media independent interface (MII) port on the rear panel supports a 100BASE-FX fiber media connection or 100BASE-TX device connections.
