Dual hot-swappable load-sharing power supplies, packaged in the 1U chassis, provide the ultimate space saving reliability and redundancy, and combined with front-to-back cooling, it is perfect for the high-density rack environment where space is at a premium. Both AC and 48VDC versions provides excellent flexibility, and hot-swappable SFP interfaces on the Gigabit uplink ports provide ultimate port flexibility, supporting any combination of gigabit copper or fiber for short haul and long haul. Compact Flash on the front panel provides ample opportunity for scalability and user access, as does the management port, also on the front panel.

IPv6 is the "next generation" protocol designed by the IETF to solve the issues of the current version of Internet Protocol, IP version 4 ("IPv4"). Most of today's Internet is built on IPv4, which is now nearly twenty years old. IPv4 is remarkably resilient in spite of its age, but it is beginning to have problems. The main issue is a growing shortage of IPv4 addresses. IPv6 fixes a number of problems with IPv4, such as the limited number of available addresses. It also adds many improvements to IPv4 in areas such as routing and network auto-configuration. IPv6 is expected to gradually replace IPv4, with the two co-existing for a number of years during a transition period.
