Asanté's FriendlyNET 7000 series switches are engineered for small design offices, departmental workgroups and medium-sized enterprises to increase network bandwidth to Gigabit speed. The FriendlyNET 8-port model (FS7108) features eight 10/100 dual-speed ports plus one Gigabit uplink. By cascading the Gigabit ports, the FriendlyNET switching system can be stacked to high density 10/100 port environments. The built-in 100Mbps fiber MII port offers optional fiber connectivity for long distance communication between buildings to insure higher security and less EMI/RFI interference. Combine the FriendlyNET 7000 Series switches with Asanté's Gigabit adapter card, the Asanté GigaNIC, to achieve Gigabit speed. For optimum flexibility, FriendlyNET switches are designed to work in networking environments including both PC and Macintosh.
