Nortel Baystack 100 Model 101 ... industry-standard IEEE 802.3i 10BASE-T connectivity for supporting 10 megabit-per-second (Mbps) Ethernet over unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cabling, the hubs provide a robust, expandable foundation for networks anticipating future growth.

Both 12- and 24-port hub options are available for supporting a variety of network environments. In addition, two frontpanel media adapter slots hold cards offering fiber, coaxial, UTP, and AUI interfaces, providing media flexibility for supporting additional end users or backbone connections to centralized hubs or routers. As more users join the workgroup, new BayStack 10BASE-T Hubs can be added to accommodate the growth. Up to 10 hubs can be stacked to support a total of 260 nodes, providing a costeffective method for expanding the network while preserving initial investments. Working with other members of the BayStack family - including the Ethernet Workgroup Switch, 100 BASE-T Hubs, the Remote Annex 2000 Communications Server, and Access Node (AN) routers, all managed by Optivity - the 10BASE-T Hubs contribute scalable connectivity to the industry's most complete stackable Ethernet solution.
