One of the main advantages of this switch is the reduced installation effort, which is 50 % lower compared to a standard system. An installer doesn't need to fix the switch with screws. He can just click the switch into special installation boxes or conducts. AC Power is supplied through the same cable raceway or sub floor as the data cabling.

This is the ideal switch to integrate into Fiber-to-the-Office applications. In this type of installations, fiber cabling is installed starting from the patch panel and running through the cable ducts or sub floor systems. The fiber is then terminated and connected to the Installation Switch, hence creating an active outlet of four 10/100 Switched Ethernet Copper ports.
