D-Link DES-1009G ... provides a workgroup solution helping to increase network throughput for increased server to client response. The DES-1009G is targeted at small to medium corporate business environments. The DES-1009G strictly adheres to IEEE 802.3 10BaseT, IEEE 802.3u 100BaseTX, and IEEE 802.3z 1000BaseTX standards. It utilizes the same packet structure format support for the CSMA/CD protocol. In addition, the DES-1009G supports full duplex and flow control. The DES-1009G delivers high-speed 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet switching and maximum flexibility by providing dynamic auto-sensing capabilities for 10/100/1000Mb Ethernet segments and workstations.

The DES-1009G utilities a store and forward switching scheme to support rate adaptation and protocol conversion. The DES-1009G supports non-blocking full wire speed data forwarding and filtering rate capabilities for each port.
