The Scout mini allows a single user to access two computers with one keyboard, monitor and mouse without swapping cables. Switching is smooth, uninterrupted and instantaneous when you execute the simple keyboard commands or use the convenient front panel button.

Emulation is necessary for the smooth function of a KVM switch. If you use a KVM switch that does not have good emulation, or is a mechanical style without it, your computer would not boot properly and would "hang" whenever you switch from one computer to the next. The Scout mini has outstanding keyboard and mouse emulation for flawless booting and switching. Reliable function is ensured by using power from the keyboard connection to the computer. If at least one computer has power, so does the Scout Mini.

The Scout mini features an automatic Scan setting that will switch between your PCs at a programmable rate. The Scout also keeps track of your keyboard status for each computer, so your Numlock, Capslock and Scroll Lock preferences for each computer are automatically set each time you switch.
