	Belkin 2x1 USB Peripheral Switch ... A USB peripheral switch are useful items they will allow you to connect items such as camera s, scanners, external hard drives, mobile phones, PDA s etc to your laptop or personal home computer. This USB peropheral switch has only got two ports where most have a minimum of four ports and USB connections on modern PC s and laptops are supplied with USB 2.0 which is a faster system and therefore more efficient. My conclusion is that this is a dated product that you can obtain a superior model unless you need it for connection with an the older USB 1.1 system, then Belkin is a great and trust worthy manufacturer, and this would be suitable to connect to your PC or Laptop ... 	Digitus DC IC814I-MC ... of the line product. I ve used this KVM Switch for a number of years, now and the only flaw I ve found is the rubber feet do not stay on forever. A little bit of warm sun and the sticky stuff gets soft. Otherwise it s a compact work horse. Having the primary ports for the mouse and keyboard on the front of the switch is the best configuration, in my opinion. The primary video and all other connections on the back make it easy to bundle and route so my desk stays organized and clean. Trying to find the user manual on-line has been a real chore but I did finally. Only thing missing, as far as I m concerned, is a way to re-initialize the mouse and/or the keyboard ... 	Netgear Prosafe FS728TP 24 Port 10/100 Smart Switch with 4 Gigabit Ports and 24 Ports PoE ... FS728TP is a fantastic value for money switch. With PoE on al ports it s ideal for powering devices such as VoIP phones, webcams etc so that you can do away with the clutter of their individual power adaptors. Although it works straight out of the box, there are many features for the more advanced user such as power limiting per port, Vlans, DHCP, QoS, etc making this probably the best value for money switch in it s class.
