Foundry FastIron II

Foundry FastIron II ... level of performance and capabilities for enterprise and service provider networks. The FastIron II, the FastIron II Plus and FastIron III support up to 72, 168 and 336 10/100 Mbps ports, respectively, with up to eight Gigabit Ethernet ports. To address high-end, data center network requirements, the FastIron II family also includes the FastIron II GC, the FastIron II Plus GC and FastIron III GC, which support 32, 64 and 120 Gigabit Ethernet Copper ports, respectively. These products provide high-speed Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for high-end servers and desktops.

Based on Foundry's unique IronCore ASIC architecture, the FastIron II products deliver hardware-based distributed switching that increases total bandwidth to support the next-generation, bandwidth-intensive applications.
