As with all HP AdvanceStack products, these hubs are designed to grow as your network needs do by allowing for advanced functionality such as switching, management, routing, dial-in/dial-out access, bridging, and redundant power.

This model is the AdvanceStack 10BT Switching Hub-24T, the Telco version that provides two 12-port Telco connectors with flexible architecture that allows partitioning into four fully managed LAN segments. Port switching allows any port on the hub to be placed on any segment in the stack without physically having to move the cable, and segments as small as one are possible. A stack of these hubs will support up to 32 isolated segments in that stack. The hub also contains a recessed transceiver slot for media connectivity, and two expansion bays - one for a management module and one for other advanced features. For advanced management features, just add the AdvanceStack 10BT Management Pack to any hub in the stack to provide a total management over the entire stack.

The management pack includes the management module and HP AdvanceStack Assistant for Windows, and fully manages all four LAN segments within the stack backbone. In addition to traffic monitoring, fault isolation, and device support, the module includes industry standards such as SNMP and MIB II. The hub includes diagnostic LEDs for quick status reports and troubleshooting assistance. With it's hot-swap capabilities, other AdvanceStack 10BT Switching Hubs in the stack remain powered even if one should fail. This unit is also rack-mountable in a standard 19-inch rack, and ships with all mounting hardware.
