IntraCore 9000 is a nine-slot chassis based system that delivers all of the required capabilities for building high-performance switched Ethernet local area networks. Eight slots are used for any mix of interface modules with one slot reserved for the system management module. Interface module choices include 24 port 10/100 Switched Ethernet with RJ-45 connectors, 24 port 10/100 Ethernet with RJ-21 connectors and 2 port GBIC modules. Dual, hot-swappable power supplies and a hot-swappable fan tray offer added reliability. Standard system features include IGMP Multicast Pruning to control multimedia and video distribution applications as well as industry standard IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging between switches and routers.
