I have been using this switch now for about a year for my home setup. This switch is ideal if you have limited ports available or network connections as you can simply plug one network connection into it and it will "switch" this to 7 others. Meaning that from one wall connection you can run up to 7 pieces of equipment. Although this is a 8 port switch you will require one port for your main network connection and therefore this is not a useable port. All too often in these days of heavy internet useage are things related to networking bumped-up in price due to their 'distributed-team' and 'data-flow facilitating' properties. so it's nice for a changed to see a good quality switch come in at a low price (Sub £150). Sure it's got a low feature-set but to be honest all you want in a good low-cost switch is the ability to segment your network at speeds up to 100MB and let it go at that.
