Rextron Novaview KNV2108D ... same computer information; but only one console has control at a time. For security reasons, only one console has the information when it takes control and the other console's screen is blanked leaving the keyboard LEDs (Num/Caps/Scroll Lock) flashing.

To gain control is as simple as moving your mouse or typing your keyboard. A timeout setting in the OSD menu defines the amount of time before the KNV2108D returns to idle after someone has just operated it.

Select a computer by front push buttons, by hot key commands or by the on-screen pop up menu. The OSD menu enables you to assign computer names, identify and select computer by the names. Programmable scan lets you select computers of interest during automatic and manual scan operations. Password security prevents unauthorized access.

To expand your control up to 64 computers, you can easily cascade up to eight KNV108 switches. To save your money, these KNV108 do not have to be OSD equipped, because the KNV2108D has OSD menu already. That is the benefit of having your KVM switches from the same family.

KNV2108D has Standard VGA and PS/2 connectors enabling you to use off-the-shelf PC cables for short distance connection. It is compatible to both PC/AT serial and PS/2 mice and keyboard. Mixing computers of both styles is no problem in the same installation.
