My previous ice cream maker broke so I bought this in a hurry one day as there was little choice in my price bracket. It has been a great success and less bulky than the one it replaced. It is easy to wash and maintain, no nasty hidden grooves that are difficult to clean and that is important when working with cream and fruits. The speeds are variable and motor seems strong. The paddle looks the weakest point ( plastic looks breakable) but it has worked well for a year now and it is well used. We recently found ourselves in a rather peculiar situation where we were in dire need of an ice-cream maker. Having little time to shop around, we decided finally on the Cuisinart ICE-20, on the basis that this handy gadget could easily provide a delicious batch of calorific ice-cream in a mere 25 minutes. We did find however, various faults - common in most budget appliances.
