I bought the ICE40 after reading about it and the fact it makes two kinds at the same time.I found it relatively easy to use,but I think the components are flimsy and the machine is noisy.
I called Cuisnart Customer Care (sic) with a view to finding out if they have a Sorbet Book as the one that comes with the machine is a bit shy on such recipes-one sorbet recipe even says it will produce a firm frozen yogurt????-surely nobody read this before going into print?I also mentioned that the guarantee form was poorly designed-which it is... (I am a Quality Assurance Manager and I design such documents). The female on the other end of the phone said you need to speak to the Manager-will you hang on? Or can we call you back? I chose to hang on.Some fifteen minutes later she came back and said the Manager was still on the phone and that she had no control over how long the Manager would be on the phone and if I gave her my name and number she would call me back.Surprise,surprise I am still waiting!It was just a ploy to get me off the line.Even if they have only received one complaint it does not lessen the validity of that complaint-so they should have called me back.
Cusinart Customer Care is about the same level joke as HMRC when they call taxpayers customers...I have a Cusinart rice-cooker, which does the job-but loves to boil over even with the correct amount of water in it.I won't be buying any further Cuisnart products.
