Advantages: Makes lovely ice cream, is easy to use

Disadvantages: None

I have always wanted to be able to make ice cream. I have gone on and on about an ice cream maker for a couple of years and my husband got me one for our anniversary.

I was a little aprehensive at first. I was worried that it was going to be complicated to use and I would mess it up. I didn't want to lose confidence with using it by messing up my first attempt. My surprise was that this ice cream maker is more than easy to use! It isn't made up of hundreds of parts, in fact there are only 3 parts to the maker - a bowl, a paddle and lid with an incorporated funnel.

I followed the receipes and instructions which come with the ice cream maker which were more than easy to follow. I even pushed my confidence further and followed a Gordon Ramsey receipe which turned out lovely. The ice cream maker makes the ice cream soft scoop but it is easy to transer the ice cream to a tub to freeze.

Before making ice cream, you have the freeze the bowl for 24 hours. You can't cheat either and take it out before. It needs the full 24 hours. When you freeze the bowl, make sure you put it in a plastic bag or cover the top as the bowl cannot be wet when you start to use it as the water will just freeze up and ruin the ice cream.

I found it very easy to clean with a damp cloth. Make sure you complete dry each piece that you wash.

It is a great machine and works like magic. Highly recommended.

ETA: My husband said he paid £24.99 for this for me :)
