As a person that loves kitchen gadgets I must say this is one of the most used appliance of everything I own. It is made by Kenwood who are a good manufacturer and their products are never over the top with their price range. This ice cream maker cost me just 35 euro about two years ago and it hasnt caused any problems since we bought it.
The design is quite simple and it is plain white in colour. It has a 1.1 litre capacity which is more than enough ice cream! It is easy to clean and quite small so it can be easily stored away when not in use. You can always freeze your ice cream for use later too.
I like this machine because it can also make frozen yogurt and with a two year old that is obsessed with yogurt I like making her my own organic home made recipes and they go down a treat.
You need to freeze the bowl for 24 hours before making ice cream so it is never a spur of the moment decision to use this and does take planning. There is a recipe book included with the appliance that shows a lot of different varieties of ice cream and I have followed this with every use and the ice cream always comes out tasting lovely. It is certainly not HB but it does taste good and its lovely after you have made it yourself.
Its quite easy to use as you make the ice cream mixture and pour it into the container and wait for it to freeze. When it reaches a thick consistency you can take it out of the bowl and place it in a tub in the freezer to make it more solid as it can be quite runny otherwise.
I would recommend this ice cream maker to anyone and I think its great for parents to make ice cream and yogurt for little ones with ingredients you want them to eat and without all the nasty additives!
Summary: Excellent ice cream maker
