... have been using AutoCad 14 and all of a sudden, version 2000 came. I started using it but I don't find much advantages using the new comer. I don't use it often though, but these are the extra features that I discovered as compared to AutoCad R14. a) it tracks to the nearest snaps b) a huge windows would appear when you try to modify a property of a line/ object. I find this very irritating. c) ok, maybe it is able to calculate very complexed non-uniformed objects d) the plotting features are different. It has more features, eg. you can save a particular pen settings and use it the next time I don't remember using any significant new features. Bas...

... the best drawing sowtware avaailable at the moment. It is expensive but probably worth every penny. It has all the basic functions and all the advanced functions for when you become more confident with it. It doesn't take long to produce 3d and 2d objects. In the program there is an extremely useful help file which tells you everything you could possibly want to know. One thing with autocad you have got to be dedicated to it. There are also samples which show what can be produced. There are some very stunning items. It has good 3d rendering facilites and It has wicked plugins.
