Advantages: Loads of features, you can design almost anything

Disadvantages: Expensive, hard to learn

Adobe Photoshop CS3 is "the" bit of software that people use for graphics design, web design and logo design.

If you haven't used it a lot, it is incredibly hard to create anything due to the amount of features it has.

The problem is that unlike most software you can't work out how to use things in a few minutes and you can't just read a tutorial on how to use photoshop.

There are so many features that it can take months or even years until you are an expert.

But, once you know how to use it then it is an amazing bit of software. You can create beautiful designs for websites very quickly and easily code them in the fireworks partner software.

You have access to a wide range of tools that you can use, and many features that are highly customizable.

This is an expensive and complicated bit of software, but when you learn how to use it then it seriously pays off.

Summary: A great but complicated bit of software.
