Disadvantages: may be slow on many PC's esspecially budget PC's

Adobe Photoshop has always been the best photo editing software on the market. As Ipod are to mp3 player's Photoshop is to photo editing software. Adobe Photoshop cs3 has all the regular features you'd expect with any photo editing software. Photoshop has the ability of layers meaning you can layer photos over each other you can also change the opacity of layers, meaning you can see through them more this is brilliant for creating artistic pieces.
A great thing about Photoshop cs3 is that no features from the previous version cs2 have been taken out like had happened in the past.
Another great thing about Photoshop cs3 is that they have left out the program Image ready which could be quite annoying for some people when simply wanting to look at an image it would take a long time to load image ready especially people with budget computers. Also when browsing through images on previous versions image ready was opened this used up a lot of the PC's resources which was annoying to many users.
One downside of the software is that it does use a lot of the pc's resources making it run slowly on many computers but it fine for any dedicated photographer or professional photographer that already has a High-end pc.

Summary: all around is a great software package for any photographer
